Purpose: Reporting to the Physician Compensation Manager and a dotted line to the Senior VP of HR in the Wexner Medical Center, functions as a key contributor by supporting the physician contracting process and fair market value determinations. Works closely with the compensation analysis team to create and evaluate a common philosophy from the Executive Leadership and the Compensation Committee of the Board of Trustees.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages the physician contracting process including evaluation of compensation components, adherence to the organization’s established Physician Compensation Plan and philosophy, communicates with leaders on questions, and ensures all compensation is within fair market value.
Conducts fair market value assessments and make determinations, coordinates the collection of assessment data elements, and communicates status updates with applicable parties.
Partners with the compensation analysis team in the data validation and auditing of compensation plan payments and processing of such payments.
Coordinates the weekly review (FHC) of key compensation elements for review and discussion with leaders.
Partners closely with the Medical Center Legal team on contracting and questions.
Makes recommendations on rate or various compensation schemes, partners with the compensation analysis team to ensure compliance or impact to the overall Physician Compensation Plan, and seeks necessary approvals.
Participates in internal and/or external audit requests.
Actively participates in applicable committees.
Develops presentations and data for the Board of Trustees and President.
Participates in training and education opportunities to enhance and maintain physician compensation and associated legal practice knowledge. Acts as a SME.
Ability to perform functions using job-related software and systems.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance or other related field.
3-5 years of experience in analytical role using robust mathematical functions for operational, financial or compensation modeling.
Experience in health-care a plus.
Previous experience in physician compensation, benchmarking, or resource-based relative value scale (RBRVS) preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High level Excel or other analytical tool proficiency needed.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
