As the Leader of the Total Rewards Center of Excellence (COE), you will be a part of a team dedicated to ensuring our programs motivate and reward our employees for their contributions, putting DISH in a position to win. The Total Rewards COE is a consultant with the broader HR team and the business on compensation, benefits, Employee Resource Groups, and other reward programs. The Total Rewards Leader is responsible for leading the team in planning, designing, implementing, and administering a comprehensive total rewards strategy and programs for DISH. This position will bring in-depth knowledge and understanding of external best-practices and innovative trends to apply to the company's Total Rewards programs.
This role is focused on the design of a holistic framework of financial and non-financial rewards that reflects the organization’s strategy to attract, motivate, and retain employees including analyzing and modeling annual merit and other salary adjustments, analyzing market data to assess the organization's competitive position, managing job evaluation systems; incentive programs, insurance, benefit, and retirement programs, and selecting and managing compensation & benefits consultants. This includes influencing others to accept practices and approaches, communicating with and influencing Senior Leadership, and facing and addressing problems that are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Direct the strategic design, planning, implementation, communication, and administration of the full range of compensation, and benefits programs including base pay, incentives, business group specific compensation plans and strategies, health & welfare benefits.
Optimize the value of total rewards programs and service, ensuring DISH is an employer of choice by consistently applying deep subject matter expertise and best practices. Thorough understanding of leading-edge HR practices and principles including applicable pay and benefits laws and regulations.
Ensure the compensation review processes, such as merit, promotion, etc. are administered accurately and efficiently.
Direct the market benchmarking process and recommend changes in the pay structure as needed; oversee all activities related to the analysis of market trends and market competitive pay positions to ensure pay structure meets overall company goals and objectives.
Regularly analyze benefit offerings, evaluating the usage, plan design, services, coverage, effectiveness, cost, plan experience, and competitive trends, and make appropriate short and long-term recommendations.
Direct the administration of all benefit plans in compliance with applicable laws and regulations; guide the team on routine audits to ensure benefits are administered consistently and qualified under applicable tax codes if applicable.
Utilize strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret data, build usable documentation, summarize results and make insightful recommendations to senior leadership.
Work with the company's external benefits consultant to analyze and evaluate plan renewals for cost-effectiveness, negotiate for improved services and offerings to maintain the company's Total Rewards competitive position.
Skills, Experience, and Requirements:
Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, FMLA, and HIPPA regulations; experience working with HRIS systems (existing system is Oracle).
Ability to understand the current benefit, compensation, and technology trends; handle sensitive and employee information with the strictest of confidentiality.
Strong attention to detail and solid planning, time management, decision-making, and organization skills; a sense of urgency, excellent follow-through, and ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to communicate effectively; coach and advise; and influence all levels from front-line hourly employees to executives.
Adept at handling multiple competing priorities and duties in a fast-paced, results-driven, rapidly changing environment - with minimal daily oversight.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
College education from an accredited four-year institution, required; Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or Human Resource Management, preferred; seven or more (7+) years in human resources related fields (in Total Rewards), preferred.
